Company Overview

INSIGHTS is based in the South East of England, East Anglia, Northern Ireland and the Netherlands and delivers its services to organisations in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and the United States. We provide quality project management training to organisations and individuals for effective programme and project management techniques and support through coaching for the implementation of the processes around the project environment.

We are an associate of Capita Learning & Development specialising in PRINCE2 Project Management Methodology. PRINCE2 certification can only be obtained if the training is accredited by the APM Group.

INSIGHTS is an Accredited Training Organisation & Consultancy and has highly experienced and approved trainers and consultants to deliver our services to our customers. We deliver a range of courses from the half day Executive PRINCE2 Overview to the 5 day accredited PRINCE2 Practitioner course. We specialise in developing organisations' project management competency and  preparing them for project environments to implement business change using our services, such as PRINCE2 project management training, project management consultancy and project management software tools to support them.
INSIGHTS is also an Accredited Training Organisation for Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) and we deliver fully accredited courses from Overviews to Practitioner level.
Our approach to training is based on our experiences of delivering courses for many types of organisations both in the public and private sectors.

What we do

As an Accredited Training Organisation, we deliver fully accredited training courses for all levels of project personnel

How we do it

We specialise in delivering quality in-house courses for organisations and scheduled public courses for individuals.

Each attendee at our courses is provided with comprehensive delegate material and supporting documentation. If appropriate, a Case Study can be used to demonstrate the practical application of the subject.
All our courses are delivered by highly experienced and approved trainers with many years experience in the delivery of training and the implementation of change and project environments.

The courses are delivered in an informal style to promote the use of discussion throughout the course and are designed to add a bit of humour to what is otherwise quite a "dry" subject. Where possible, workgroups are encouraged to participate in some practical work throughout the course.

We collect and analyse feedback from each of the delegates and provide a detailed report to the organisation on the results of the feedback.

What is PRINCE2

PRINCE2 is a project management method designed to provide a framework covering the wide variety of disciplines and activities required within a project. The focus throughout PRINCE2 is on the business case, which describes the rationale and business justification for the project. The business case drives all the project management processes, from initial project set-up through to the finish of the project.

Many organisations are employing the skills and services of external suppliers, working alongside in-house resources, to enhance their ability to deliver successful projects. PRINCE2 provides a mechanism to harness these resources and enable the project team to work together effectively. PRINCE2 embodies many years of good practice in project management and provides a flexible and adaptable approach to suit all projects.

PRINCE (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a structured method for effective project management. The method was first established in 1989 by CCTA (the Central Computer and Telecommunications Agency). PRINCE was developed from PROMPTII, a project management method created by Simpact Systems Ltd in 1975. PROMPTII was adopted by CCTA in 1979 as the standard to be used for all government information system projects. PRINCE superseded PROMPTII in 1989 within government projects. CCTA (now the Office of Government Commerce) continued to develop the method, and PRINCE2 was launched in 1996 in response to user requirements for improved guidance on project management on all projects, not just information systems. PRINCE2 is based on the experiences of scores of projects, project managers and project teams, who have contributed, some from their mistakes or omissions, others from their successes.

PRINCE2 is a de facto standard used extensively by the UK government and is widely recognised and used in the private sector, both in the UK and internationally.
